Meet the Founder

Steve MacDougall, from Nova Scotia, Canada, brings over 35 years of expertise in construction, commissioning, and operations across oil and gas, mining, minerals, and other industries. As co-founder of OTS in 2005, he has been instrumental in shaping commissioning and startup strategies for mega projects worldwide. Beyond engineering, Steve has extensive experience leading diverse businesses, driving growth and operational excellence.

In 2021, Steve survived a stroke affecting his right arm and leg. Through determination and relentless rehabilitation, he made significant progress—while recognizing a critical gap in accessible physiotherapy. His personal journey inspired the creation of Stroke Of Luck’s innovative solution, designed to expand access to effective recovery for patients everywhere.
